Sculptural

Sculpture and applied art run through everything Sam makes. Working closely with Black Isle Bronze, his brother's foundry in Scotland, he has produced cast bronze urns, fountains, door knockers and figures — among them the Hooded Falcon in Inverness and a bronze feature wall for a London penthouse. He assisted his father, Gerald Laing, on The Lineout, the 27-foot bronze at Twickenham Stadium, and made sculptural elements for Robert Adam's building at 198–202 Piccadilly. Smaller pieces, from steel butterflies to bronze candle holders, carry the same hand.
